Not such a good showing this week. I need to up my game and eat better, as well as hydrate better before a run.
The 4.06 km run, I wore an old pair of running shoes, which didn’t seem to agree with my feet. I wore my older Clifton 2 by Hoka One One and felt like I was running on a bouncy pillow, but distinctly noticed the lack of rebound I get with my Vanquish 2. The bounce was too soft, although I quite like them for the treadmill. Go figure.
I’ve learned that for 5km and upwards, I really do need to carry some water with me. Some people could get away with not carrying water, but it looks like I’m not one of them. At 12.25, it meant three loops of our village.
That was actually a fair chore to do, and I don’t fancy doing it for next weeks 13km run. I’m hoping to add 1km a week until 15k, then staying static for a few weeks to help make it a bit easier, and possibly trying some new routes. With it being dark, I don’t like going out at night, or where it’s too quiet, so I’m limited to where to go, or I need to find better ways to get out in the mornings.
